February 20th -23rd 2018

Well with a crazy weather week and not much time to get anything accomplished we are going to try again next week!  We will dive into our new journals, keep working on the letter Hh, and learning the words are, that, & do.

We are in need of some donations to our raffle basket!!!  Our class along with another kinder class are in charge of the family game night basket, any donations to this would be greatly appreciated!!  Donations for baskets are due February 28th.

Moving forward we are now officially closer to 1st graders then we are kindergarteners, so we are going to be focusing on being more independent!  In the classroom this will include me not checking their backpacks (I will remind them to check it each morning), not reminding them to put their names on their papers a dozen times, and expecting their independent work to look just as nice as the work we do together.  Ways you can encourage their independence, have them open their own stuff (including lunch types items), walking themselves into class, making them responsible for remembering their library books, SAM books, & Friday folders.
