-What we’ve been learning-

We’ve started our plant unit! So far we’ve learned what plants start as, what they need to grow, and a little about all the different parts of a plant.  We studied all the different kinds of seeds as well.

Letters: Uu

Words: Yellow, Blue, Green

Writing:  We are going to continue to work on extending our writing from 1-2 sentences to 2-3.  We will be focusing on this for the next several weeks as this is a big transition and reviews other skills (upper case first letters, ending marks, sounding words out, etc.) while practicing the new skill of extending our thoughts and words.

Math:  Review and extending our knowledge about shapes starting with 2 dimensional and moving into 3 dimensional

-What we will be working on-

We are going to be looking closer at the parts of a plant.  Finding out what they are, what they do, and why the plants need them.  We are hoping to see our grass start to grow soon as well.

Letters: Vv & Zz
