November 13th - 16th 2018

I am so excited for you all to see the progress we have made in just 4 short weeks!! There is a progress check sheet behind this newsletter and it is pretty amazing!!! Beginning next week students who know more than 20 letter sounds and some of our sight words will start coming home with SAM books.  Please remember these books are very dull at the beginning but it is important that they learn how to read books correctly and with confidence so they feel comfortable reading more difficult books.  With SAM books please have your child read the book to anyone who will listen 5 times, date, and initial the page before sending it back.  I will do my best to get your child new books every time they bring them back!  It is there job in the morning to give me the books though, I will not be searching backpacks for them.

Next week is our Friendsgiving Day Feast!! Please if you can contribute in any way, send it on Monday.  I will be going shopping for our event Tuesday after school.
