12/11/17
Mid Term Progress Reports went home for 1st period.  They must be signed and returned.  If you have missing P.E. days, be sure to complete a make up form and submit it before the end of the quarter.

At the end of the week, mid-quarter progress reports will be going home.  Please take a moment to look them over, sign them, and send them back to school with your son.  I will be requiring my 1st period class to return them to me signed.  If you have any questions, please let me know.  Mr. A

Welcome back everyone!!!  I'm excited to get the new year started and to see the faces of our incoming 6th graders.  Feel free to drop by if you have any questions or concerns.  Let's start the new year off on the right foot!!!

 3-6-17
Ms. Lonner is back to begin her groups with our classes.  The 6th graders will be going through an "All-Stars" program and the 7th & 8th graders will be in a "Life Skills" class for the next few months.  6th grade will meet during health class time on Mondays and the 7th & 8th graders will meet on Tuesdays.  If you would like more information on the classes, please contact Mrs. Holter or myself here at school.

1-31-17
Here we are at the mid point of the school year.  It amazes me how fast time flies!  We are beginning a new unit on bullying this week and hope to get started on our anti-bullying skits early next week.  Work on these will continue on Monday and hopefully we will begin presenting on Tuesday.  Remember to bring any props if you need them.  Let's start the new semester off on the right foot!!!

1-19-17
We are fast approaching the end of the semester.  There are a number of students that need to complete make ups on their fitness gram tests.  We will be using our usual "Game Day" Friday to get those completed.  Also....if you have missed a day of PE, be sure to get your make up forms submitted to Mr. Auckland.  The second half of the year is already upon us.  Time flies when you're having fun!!!  Keep up the good work everyone!!!

Bullying Unit

Bike Unit

This unit will include learning about safety equipment, signs, basic rules of the road, bike pre-check routine, etc. 


Students will be creating a bicycle safety poster, in groups, that demonstrates their understanding of a specific aspect of bike safety.  Look for these to be displayed in different areas around the school.

P.E./Gym Central

Students will be engaged in sport/skill specific lessons that will help develop their abilities in different sports and athletic activities.  Lessons will revolve around developing hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills.  We will also spend a considerable amount of time in the field working on these skills as the weather allows. 

Topics Include:
  • Volleyball
  • Basketball
  • Ultimate Frisbee
  • Softball
  • Kickball
  • Soccer
  • And many others.....
Fitness Room

At least one day a week we will spend the period working out in the fitness room.  The students have specific workout routines that they will be tracking in their personalized fitness portfolio. Students will monitor their strength levels as they progress throughout the year.  We will be learning safe/proper lifting technique to prepare them for a more rigorous program at the high school.
