Our goal at Castle Rock School District Transportation is to provide the safest bus service possible. To achieve this, we expect bus riders to obey the driver promptly, follow the rules, and be courteous to others. The bus is an extension of the classroom. It is the first class in the morning and the last in the afternoon. As such, classroom conduct must be observed at all times.

Inclement Weather
When inclement weather arises the decision to hold school, start late or cancel is always a difficult one and is made after a careful review of the road conditions district wide. Schools will close when it is dangerous to put the children and buses on the road. Some of these hazards are snow, freezing rain and flooding. A decision about school operations is made promptly as possible. Check Flash Alert, local radio stations, television stations, district website, email notifications for weather-related school closure announcements. In addition, updates will be made to the district Facebook page. See below the snow routes page for alternate bus pick up and drop off locations.
Determining the safest plan for children during inclement weather is ultimately parents’ responsibility, regardless of district operational decisions.
