Castle Rock High School was well represented at this year’s Regional High School Art Show Awards Ceremony, held virtually by ESD 112 on March 20, 2024. Two of Castle Rock’s five entries won awards:

Senior Rey Acrey received the ESD 112 award for his piece, “Orpheus’s Remorse”, the prize of which was a renewable $3,000 scholarship towards future enrollment at Pacific Northwest College of Art in Portland, Oregon. Winners of the ESD 112 award were rated highly by the judges using criteria that aligns with the Washington State Arts K-12 Learning Standards, including creativity, composition and technique.

Senior Ryland Davis received an honorable mention for his piece, “A View of the Coast,” which won him a renewable $1,000 scholarship towards future enrollment at PNCA. Submissions with honorable mentions were rated very highly by the judges.
