As part of Castle Rock School District’s objective of

“Inspiring pride and achievement for all through relevant learning and great expectations!”

The Castle Rock school board requires that each student earn a minimum requirement of community service hours to qualify for graduation. CRHS has incorporated the following hours as an advisory expectation to meet this goal.

Castle Rock Community Service required hours:

  • Class of 2025: 8 hours Senior year
  • Class of 2026: 6 hours this year
  • Class of 2027: 4 hours this year
  • Class of 2028: 2 hours this year

Graduation requirement is 20 hours

If a student is doing community service hours that are not promoted through the Career Center, those hours must be pre-approved by the advisor, Mrs. Moore or administration, for those hours to be guaranteed.

Students may accrue more hours than are mandated, but must still achieve their hours requirement per grade level. For example: Going into Junior year, the student has volunteered and has 21 hours logged, they still will be required to earn 6 hours during the year.
