Dear Kindergarten Parents/Guardians:
We are so excited that your child is joining the Castle Rock Primary School Family this year! Thank you for your patience as we are still making decisions for next year that have many variables that are not finalized. Due to this, we are not able to let you know classroom placements at this time. We will get this information out to you as soon as we can.
Here are some dates to put on your calendars:
September 5th through 7th – WAKids Interviews
- These will be scheduled for each family to come in and meet with their child’s teacher. These meetings are mandatory and attached to our funding.
- Your child’s teacher will call you to schedule.
September 8th – Half Day of Kindergarten
- You will schedule with your child’s teacher whether you will be in the AM or the PM session.
- The session times will be AM 8:30-10:45 and PM 11:45-2:00.
- Parents will drop off and pick up.
September 11th – First full day of school for kindergarten
We are so looking forward to starting this school year off strong. On top of the instruction they will get from their homeroom teacher, they will have PE, Art, Music, Math specialist and some time in the library each week.
I know this is tough, but you will not be able to walk your kiddo to their first day of class. We have many staff that will be able to assist them in getting to their classrooms. We did this last year as well and our kinders did an amazing job! It fosters independence for our learners. We will not have transportation to come to school on those half day scheduled for the 8th.
